If a meteor hits the Earth and forms a crater that measures 10 miles in diameter, what is the area of the crater formed?

Area= π • r^2

Diameter= 10 ÷ 2
Radius= 5

Area= π • 5^2
Area= 25π

Answer is Area= 25π

or 25 • π = 78.54= Area
