First we distribute -2 into p and -10.

p + 4 - 2 (p - 10) > 0

-2 x p = -2p
-2 x -10 = 20

After that, you'll get

p + 3 - 2p + 20 > 0

Then we must add like terms.

-2p + p = 1p or p
3 + 20 = 23

After that you'll get

p + 23 > 0

Our goal is to get 'p' by itself, so we must subtract 23 on both sides of the inequality.

p + 23 > 0
    - 23  -23

So, p > -23 is the answer
