The given equation is

[tex] ax-b =12.5 [/tex]

And we have to solve for x .

First we need to move b to the right side. And for that. we have to add b to both sides .

[tex] ax = b +12.5 [/tex]

Now to solve for x, we need to get rid of a, and for that, we must divie both sides by a, that is

[tex] x = \frac{b+12.5}{a} [/tex]
