How many solutions is there for 4x-1=-4x+1

4x - 1 = -4x + 1

8x - 1 = 1 (added 4x to both sides)

8x = 2 (added 1 to both sides)

x = [tex] \frac{2}{8} = \frac{1}{4} [/tex]

Answer: there is ONE solution
