[tex] \frac{m+3}{4} =\frac{m-5}{7} [/tex]

Cross multiply (m + 3) * (7) and (4) * (m - 5).

7m + 21 = 4m - 20

Subtract 4m from both sides.

3m + 21 = -20

Subtract 21 from both sides.

3m = -41

Divide both sides by 3.

m = -41/3
