3(2x - 5) - 8x = -2(x - 1)

Use the distributive property:

6x-15 - 8x = -2x +2

Combine like terms:

-2x - 15 = -2x +2

Since both sides have -2x, but the other numbers are not the same, this equation does not have a solution.
