Ponyboy is walking home from the movies alone and gets jumped by a group of Socs. The Socs are the rival gang of the Greasers, who live on the West side... Ponyboy thinks he is about to suffocate when one of the Socs sits on his chest, and the boy starts punching Pony in the face.
