first distribute f into (x+h)
top: fx+fh-fx
simplify fx and - fx
that gives you:
[tex]\frac{fh}{h}[/tex]
then you can get rid of the h since they are the same value
this leaves you with
[tex]\frac{f}{1}[/tex] - you can't put a zero in a fraction
[tex]\frac{f}{1}[/tex] is the answer
