Animal cells do not have a cell wall, only the cell membrane. Turgidity occurs when lots of water moves into a cell via osmosis causing the cell cytoplasm to expand and push against the cell wall. Since the animal cell does not have a cell it, the cell simply continues to expand until it bursts.
