By definition, the integer part of a number x is the greatest integer which is less than or equal to the integer x. Its notation is [x], for example, [2.3] =2, and [ -2.3] = -3. in our case we have y = [x], obviously, when x = 5.7, the floor function is y= [5.7] = 5
